These are some of the assets and tests I created while working on DYLAN (later named Anthem), during my time at Bioware. These were taken at various points of the project while we were trying to define what the Shapers were, and how the player would function within their machinery. I was the sole 3D Artist tasked with working on the Shaper tech at the time, and I believe a good portion of this made it through to the shipped product.
There were quite a few challenges to overcome during the course of production. The sheer scale of these pieces was pretty daunting, so quite a few overlays and decals needed to work together to break up the surfaces. I also came up with a modular system of socketting the pieces together, which also had variants to give some visual variety to a very repetitive structure.
